Close Match Against the League Leaders

4.5.18 – This afternoon we welcomed league leaders Mitcham to the green for our latest league match. First to finish were Maggie, Rosalind, Pete and Martin who found the opposition in fine form going down 12 – 25. Second off were Claire, Ange, Ossie and Neil who were behind 9 – 12 after 15 ends, but won the remaining 6 ends to win 21 – 12. Matthew, Sara, Anne and Barry saw the lead change 7 times in their game and nearly won, but for the Mitcham skip drawing second bowl on the final end when 6 down on the green to give Mitcham an 18 – 16 win. Match result 2 – 8 ( 49 shots to 55).
