Club Finals Weekend – Day 2
1.9.24 – Today we had Day Two of the Club Finals. In Session One Neil beat Johnny 21 – 9 in the Handicap Singles, a score which did not reflect the many close heads that were had. In the Robert Faulds Final Mark beat Alison 21 – 18.
In Session Two both of the Club Championships took place and both were incredibly keenly contested. In the Ladies Championship Anne beat Sue F 21 – 18, whilst in the Men’s Championship Neil beat Martin 21 – 17, after a marathon 29 ends.
In Session Three the Ladies 3 – 2 – 1 saw Caroline beat Rosalind 60 – 42. In the Ladies Two Woods Sue F beat Alison 19 – 3 and in the Club Two Woods Martin beat Mark 16 – 3. Once again, we owe a huge thank you to Richard F for his organisational prowess, as well as to the 23 club members who attended, to the players, supporters, helpers, markers, umpires, green-swishers, washer-uppers, family members and former club members Ann and Rachel.
