Defeat in the League

June 4th – This afternoon we hosted Colliers Wood in the second of our weekend league matches. Hector, Ange, Vernon and Pete started well and were 19 – 12 up with three ends to play. Unfortunately for WPBC their opponents took a 1, 5, 1 to tie the game at 19 – 19. George, Helen, Sabrina and Barry found themselves 4 – 15 after 10 ends, going on to lose 12 – 24. Anne, Betty, Ossie and Neil rallied form 5 – 15 at 8 ends to be 12- 15 after 12 ends, but once again Colliers Wood continued strongly, taking the points with a 25 – 19 win. Match result 1 – 9 (50 shots to 68).
