District Double Singles’ Success

This evening there were two District Singles games played at Wimbledon Park as Neil played the quarter-final of the Mixed Singles and Barry played for a place in the quarter-final of the Over 60’s Men’s Singles. Neil was first to finish, playing against Bolingbroke and managed to make his way through to the club’s second semi-final with a 21- 4 victory. Barry started slowly, but recovered from 3 – 7 down to edge ahead 10 – 9. Scores were level at 10 – 10, one end later, before Barry went in to top gear completing the game without his opponent, from Wandilea, scoring again. The 21- 10 win secured the club’s seventh quarter-final place… so far!
