Final League Match of 2017

Sept 23rd – This afternoon we travelled to Bolingbroke for our final league match of the 2017 season. With Bolingbroke unfortunately 2 players short, there were 25% deductions for their scores on two of the rinks. George, Maggie, Vernon and Pete were 8 – 14 down after 10 ends but a strong second half saw Wimbledon Park turn the game around to win 20 – 17. Anne, Ange, Ossie and Neil led 13 – 3 after 10 ends, going on to win 22 – 11 which was adjusted to 22 – 8 after the 25% deduction. Claire, Matthew, Sabrina and Barry were 5 – 11 down after 10 ends, closing the gap to 15 – 19 with three ends to play and ending up 17 – 24. After the 25% adjustment this left the score at 17 – 18. Match result 8 – 2 (59 shots to 43).
