First League Fixture of 2018

Sunday 13th May – Sunday’s league match against Streatham Park was postponed from last week and we are very grateful to our ladies who kindly postponed their fixture against Heathfield to allow us to squeeze in the hastily re-arranged league match. Playing against the 2017 league champions in our opening fixture was always going to be challenging but what a response from the 12 players who took to the green! Alison, Steve (making his league debut), Anne and Barry put in a strong performance to post a 30 – 10 win. Mary, Rosalind, Ossie and Vernon found their opponents in fine form going down 12 – 37. Christine, Ange, George and Sabrina won 15 ends to 6 and with a score of 21 – 13 helped secure a memorable 8 – 2 victory (63 shots to 60.)
