Fourteenth District Quarter-final Place is Booked

July 20th – this evening Barry, Martin and Neil began the defence of their District Triples title as they welcomed Southey to Wimbledon Park. WPBC got off to an amazing start by picking up a six on the first end, but this only seemed to spur on their opponents and at 9 ends the scores were tied at 10 – 10. At end 14 Southey picked up a 4 to move ahead for the first time and with three ends left WPBC were 13 – 17 down. The final three ends saw Wimbledon Park pick up a 2, 4 and 1 to secure the quarter-final spot with a 20 – 17 win. Thanks to Betty for her support this evening.
