This afternoon’s league match saw Streatham Park visiting Wimbledon Park. In a topsy-turbulent afternoon, Sallie, Claire W, Pete and Barry fought back from 8-15 after 17 ends, to level the game with one end to play, only for the visitors to snatch one shot on the final end to win 16-15. Rosalind, Gail, Vernon and Richard S were level at 10 ends, having battled back from 1-6 down. Unfortunately, the second half belonged to Streatham Park who went on to take the win 21-14. Anne, William (making his league debut), Richard F and Neil were 3-13 down at 10 ends, but had narrowed the gap to 11-15 with 4 ends to play. Streatham Park however had other ideas and picked up 12 shots without reply in those final ends to win 27-11. Match result 0-10 (40 shots to 64).
