Men’s Surrey Fours Result

11.6.18 – This evening up at Heathfield BC Barry, Vernon, Martin and Neil played the opening round of the Surrey Men’s Fours. In a close match WPBC found themselves 7 – 12 down after 10 ends before rallying to take the lead 4 ends later at 14 – 12. The next three ends went to Heathfield and with the score at 14 – 20 and at least four down in the head, Neil was faced with the final bowl. A trail of the jack was possible which could have resulted in four shots, the bowl was delivered, the jack was hit but unfortunately it was flicked to the side resulting in a count of 6 to Heathfield. So near and yet so far! Final score WPBC 14 – Heathfield 26.
