1.8.18 – This evening, up at Heathfield, Barry, Martin and Neil played for a semi-final spot in the District Men’s Triples. Close exchanges early on saw the scores level at 11 – 11 after 11 ends and again at 13 – 13 two ends later. The next three ends proved crucial as when WPBC were holding 3 shots, the Heathfield skip drew in to take two. Next end a trail by the Heathfield skip’s last bowl saw them pick up 5 shots and on end 16, when WPBC held six shots, the Heathfield skip drew second bowl. Final score WPBC 15, Heathfield 21.
