Not to be in the District Over 60’s Singles

29.8.24 – This afternoon Neil was up at South London to play Belmont in the District Over 60’s Singles. Drawing well from the off Neil had two bowls within a foot on the first end, only to have his opponent fire the jack out of the rink, which set the tone for the game. A couple of ends later and again Neil was holding with two close bowls only for the jack to be fired into the ditch. All credit to Neil’s opponent who, as well as firing so clinically, also drew with incredible accuracy, going on to book his place in the final with a 21 – 8 win.
