Oh So Close in the District Pairs!

August 3rd – this evening Pete and Martin hosted Raynes Park in the quarter-final of the Men’s Pairs. Starting strongly Wimbledon Park led 8 – 0 after 3 ends, increasing the lead to ten shots by the sixteenth end. Unfortunately disaster struck on end twenty, when Raynes Park picked up a count of five to leave them one shot behind coming to the final end. Dropping a two on the last end saw Raynes Park advance to the semi-final with a one shot win.
