Our 2nd Place in the District Finals

Aug 22nd – This evening, over at West Wimbledon, Neil played Raynes Park in the Semi-final of the District Men’s Singles competition. Playing on what turned out to be a tricky rink, the lead changed hands 5 times in the first 14 ends, before Neil opened up a 17 – 11 lead. Not to be outdone his opponent closed the gap and after 24 ends the score was 20 – 19. The final end saw Neil draw three close bowls which was enough to secure his place in the Final following a 21 – 19 win.
