Our Final League Match of the Season

24.9.22 This afternoon we welcomed Merton for our last league match of the year. It was a classic ‘game of two halves’, with Merton dominating the first half. Anne, Rosalind, Claire T and Martin found themselves at 4 – 10 after 8 ends, but, winning 9 of the remaining 13 ends saw them turn the game around to win 18 – 16. Gail. Sue F (making her league debut), Peter and Neil were 8 – 19 down after 12 ends, but won 8 of the remaining 9 ends to win 28 – 20. Johnny, Dez, Sabrina and Barry didn’t score until the seventh end and after 11 ends were 4 – 11. Once again though, the second half saw a fight back as they won 6 of the last 10 ends to just miss out on a win, narrowly losing 15 – 18. Match result 8 – 2 (61 shots to 54).
