Strong Performance in Today’s League Match

2.6.19 – This afternoon we hosted Colliers Wood in our second home league match of the season. Claire, Richard, Vernon and Martin got off to a flying start leading 14 – 3 after 8 ends, before Colliers Wood closed the gap to 16 – 11 after 13 ends. Wimbledon Park continued to bowl well over the final ends going on to win the game 26 – 16. Second to finish were Ange, Sabrina, Ossie and Neil who opened up a 15 – 2 lead after 10 ends. The second half saw some great conversions by the Colliers Wood skip, but again Wimbledon Park prevailed winning 27 – 11, converted to 27 – 8 as unfortunately Colliers Wood were a player short in this game. The final game to end saw Anne, Johnny, George and Pete play, they led 12 – 3 after 10 ends and closed out the game for a 20 – 12 win. Match result 10 – 0 (73 shots to 36).
