Tough Going in Today’s League Match

July 16th – this afternoon’s league match took place away at Mitcham. Hector, Betty, Pete and Martin built on a first half 10 – 5 lead to win 26 – 11. Mary, Ange, Sabrina and Barry led 10 – 8 after 10 ends but only managed to win one of the final eleven ends which saw them finish with an 11 – 30 defeat. Anne, Cherry, Ossie and Neil found the going tough from the start and a 2 – 12 score after 10 ends resulted in an 8 – 25 defeat. Match result a 2 – 8 defeat (45 shots to 66).
