Two Surrey Results

On Thursday evening Neil was away at Epsom for his match against Purley Bury in the ¼ final of the Surrey Champion of Champions. In a close game, with both players drawing well, the conversion shots were telling and saving ten shots in the last 6 ends proved decisive with Purley Bury advancing to the semi-final with a 21 – 12 win. Back in Wimbledon Park Mark, Richard S, Dave and Martin played Southwark Sports in the Surrey Men’s Top 4 competition. Starting strongly WPBC led 13 – 5 after 10 ends, before the visitors rallied scoring 11 shots over the next five ends to close the gap to 17 – 16 with three ends to play. The last three ends saw Southwark continue their comeback to advance to the next round, after a close game, with a 21 – 18 win.
