Weather – What Weather!

Aug 9th – This evening over at Southey George was due to play the Quarter-final of the District Mixed Singles, however the green at Southey was deemed to be unplayable and so the game will now be played on Monday 14th August.

Up at South London the wet weather continued, but Barry, Pete, Martin and Neil were able to play the Quarter-final of the District Fours. Starting strongly Wimbledon Park led 12 – 3 after 7 ends, but dropping a 2 and a tidy 7, left the score level at 9 ends. After 14 ends WPBC had once again pulled clear to lead 21 – 14, only for South London to level again at 21 – 21 after 18 ends. The final three ends saw WPBC pick up a two, then drop a two, before South London narrowly took the final end to advance to the Semi-final.
