What An Exciting Match in the Surrey Ladies’ Fours

29.6.23 – This evening saw Anne, Rosalind, Claire T and Sabrina play Purley in the Surrey Ladies’ Fours. After 7 ends WPBC were 4 – 9 down, but then a tremendous fight back started, thanks to a lot of high-quality drawn bowls, which took them to a 20 – 9 lead. Keeping things tight over the last few ends, Wimbledon Park booked a place in the Surrey 1/4 finals with a well-deserved and very exciting 20 – 15 win.
