24.7.21 You Win Some, You Lose Some and You Draw Some!

This afternoon we headed to Merton BC for our first league match of the weekend. Anne, Ange, Richard F and Martin were first off having turned around a 4 – 10 deficit at 8 ends to win 28 – 11. Second off were Roger, Sam, Ossie and Neil who had a close game right through ending in a 15 – 15 draw. Claire, Rosalind, Richard S and Barry finished last and nearly pulled off the come back of the season. Having not scored for the first 9 ends to trail 0 – 14, the second half saw WPBC score 16 shots to Merton’s 6, ending in a narrow 16 – 20 defeat. Match result 7 – 3 (59 shots to 46).
