31.7.21 A Close Win in Today’s League Match

This afternoon we welcomed our friends from South London to the green for our latest league match. In an eventful afternoon, punctuated by showers, Claire, Rosalind, Richard S and Barry came off the green at 9 – 19, amended to 9 – 15 as our opponents played with a player missing. Luke, Richard F, Pete and Martin limited their opponents to winning 6 of the 17 ends played, winning 30 – 9. Anne, Ange, Ossie and Neil were 8 – 16 after 13 ends, but narrowed the gap to 14 – 17 when rain stopped play. Match result 6 – 4 (53 shots to 41).
