What A Season Finale!

This afternoon, despite persistent drizzle an unbelievable 26 club members took to the green for the end-of-season Round Robin Competition playing for the Challoner Cup. The format was for each player to play three matches of six ends, against nine or ten randomly drawn opponents. The top four points’ scorers, Richard S, Martin, James and Jackie each then discarded a bowl and proceeded to a shoot out, with the bowl furthest away from the jack, on each end, being removed from the rink. Richard S beat Jackie on the the last end of the final to  be the last person standing and to win the Challoner Cup. A huge thank you to all the players, to those who set up and cleared up the green, to Richard F for masterminding the proceedings and to Barry who oversaw the end of the afternoon. A big thank you too to Gail who organised the end-of-season meal out after the afternoon had finished.
