National Mixed Singles v Southey

This evening, over at Southey BC, Jackie and Neil played the opening round of the National Champion of Champions competition. Unfortunately for WPBC, their opponents got off to a great start opening up a 13 – 1 lead after 8 ends. Despite a strong come back in the remaining ends, Jackie and Neil fell just short, losing 13 – 17.

On Friday 8 people enjoyed bowling as the weather began to warm up.

By Saturday the weather was glorious and our first taster session of the season had 21 club players on the green, along with 5 first time visitors. A huge thank you to everyone who made the session so successful and welcomed our visitors so warmly.

On Sunday, Neil was in the Area 1 side playing in the Surrey Inter-Area Walter Cross Tournament. 

Next week all of our regular weekly activities take place, along with the first of our outside competitions… 

The Tuesday afternoon league starts at 2.00pm, please be at the green for 1.45pm.

Wednesday evening’s club night starts at 6.15pm, please be at the green for 6.00pm.

On Thursday evening Jackie and Neil are over at Southey for the opening round of the National Mixed Pairs.
