11.5.24 - This morning we held the postponed final of the 2023 Club Handicap Pairs final between William/Rosalind and Caroline/Richard S. After a lot of high quality bowling, it was Caroline/Richard S who emerged as champions with a 28 - 14 win; congratulations to all of the finalists.

10.5.24 - This afternoon Pete and Neil were at West Wimbledon for the first round of the Men’s National Senior Pairs. In what is now a 3-bowl pairs competition, early exchanges had the teams battling out a close contest, before WPBC picked up a run of 3, 3 and 4 shots to open up a gap, going on to win 25 - 15.

5.5.24 - Today, over at Croydon, Neil represented Surrey Area 1 in the Surrey Inter-Area ‘Walter Cross’ Competition. Neil’s rink managed a draw in the morning against the eventual winners, Area 4. In the afternoon’s 3rd place play-off, Area 1 managed a narrow win against Area 2.

4.5.24 - This morning, over at Egham, Neil and his daughter Rachel won the opening round of the National Family Pairs 20-12.

4.5.24 - This morning’s taster session saw 6 first time visitors and 21 club members taking the opportunity to get some practice time on the green. At the end of the session we welcomed Yvonne to Wimbledon Park BC, our 3rd new club member to join in 2024.

21.4.24 - This afternoon twelve hardy souls took to the green for the first Round-Robin of the season. Jay, Martin, William, Sallie, Bob and Jatin were in the Red Group, whilst Mark, Claire W-A, Claire T, Sue F, Caroline and Matt were in the Blue Group. At the end of each player’s four, six-end games the two group winners advanced to the final.

24.9.23 - This afternoon 22 players, split into two groups, took part in the last competition of the season. 3 points were awarded for a win, 2 for a draw and 1 for a loss. 19.9.23 - This afternoon the Tuesday League saw 8 people take to the green for the final session of the year. Incredibly there have been over 20 club members who have taken part in the league at some stage during the season. With all the points added up the top three finishers were Sue F (514 points), Johnny (647 points) and Neil (903 points).

In a kind gesture Merton allowed all 14 of our available players to play with 4 bowlers playing half a game each.
