The weather was kind, the children enthusiastic and at the end, the teams had been selected. Thank you to Barry, Martin, Richard F and Richard S for their help at the session.

16.6.22 This evening we had three Surrey matches taking place. At home, Barry and Neil faced Belmont in the Surrey Men’s Pairs. After a close start, WPBC pulled away to win 21 - 9.
Over at Southwark Sports, Pete and Martin played their Men’s Pairs. The home side settled quickly keeping WPBC at bay, going on to win 24 - 9.

15.6.22 This evening, down at Wandilea, Claire T and Martin played Wandilea in the District Mixed Pairs. On a quick green, Martin drew on his indoor experience, helping Wimbledon Park to book a place in the 1/4 final with a 19 - 6 win.

15.6.22 This afternoon, over at Ware BC, Neil played for Surrey as they took on Hertfordshire. In a match reduced to triples rather than rinks, Neil skipped his rink to a 16 - 8 win, helping Surrey to a match win by 111 shots to 81.

12.6.22 Over at Shirley Park the Area One 2 Wood Singles took place. In the first round Neil beat Streatham Park 15 - 14. The second round saw a 16 - 5 win, also against Streatham Park. In the 1/4 final Neil lost to Belmont 12 - 16.

10.6.22 This evening over at Temple, Neil played in the Surrey Men’s Singles. A quick start from Temple saw the home player lead 5 - 0 after 4 ends. Neil rallied to trail 9 - 8, before Temple upped a gear to lead 20 - 9. Not giving up, Neil won the next 4 ends to get back to 20 - 18, before Temple picked up the single needed to get across the line.
