9.6.22 This afternoon we welcomed to the green the Y6 children from Garfield Primary School. The children were introduced to bowling and will return next week for their second session, ahead of the Merton Primary Schools’ Tournament on 20th June. A big thank you to Barry for leading the session, supported by Martin, Richard F and Sallie.

Hi8.6.22 This evening Sara and Neil began the defence of their District Mixed Pairs title as they took on Wandilea. After close early exchanges, which saw the scores level after 5 ends at 4 - 4, WPBC pulled ahead, taking the next 6 ends to lead 15 - 4. Five ends later, hands were shaken with the score at 23 - 8.

7.6.22 This evening Richard S and Neil were at home to Wandilea in the National Senior Pairs. After close early exchanges, picking up a 5 on the 8th end gave WPBC an 11 - 6 advantage. Dropping a 5 on the 14th end closed the gap to 15 - 14, before a final flourish saw them through to the Area 1/4 final with a 20 - 16 win. Thanks to Pete for his support.

4.6.22 This morning Neil welcomed South London for the opening round of the National Champion of Champions competition. In a close contest Neil had every bit of good fortune going, coming off the green with a 21 - 0 win, which did not reflect the game at all.

2.6.22 Today Barry, Rosalind, Martin and Neil represented Wimbledon Park at the Heathfield Gala Day, whilst Richard F reunited to play with a group of former Bolingbroke Bowlers. The Bolingbroke Team managed two wins out of their group games, whilst the WPBC team won 3 and lost the other 2, by a single shot, to finish in third place in their group of 12 ...

31.5.22 This evening over at North Sheen, Neil played in the National Senior Singles. Starting strongly Neil led 12 - 2 after 6 ends, before going on to take the game 21 - 10.

30.5.22 This afternoon Martin welcomed Mitcham in the Surrey Champion of Champions. With both players drawing consistently well, the game was of the highest quality. Unfortunately for WPBC it was not to be, with Mitcham progressing to the next round with a 21 - 11 win.
