23.5.19 - Barry, Pete, Martin and Neil hosted Rose Hill in this evening’s Surrey Men’s Over-55 Fours. Two early counts of 5 saw Wimbledon Park lead 14 - 6 after 9 ends of the 18-end match. Hands were shaken at 16 ends with WPBC the winners by 26-8. The Area Final will be played on Friday 24th May up at Magdalen Park BC.

Starting strongly, in the 18-end format, Wimbledon Park led 10 - 1 after 4 ends. The gap was maintained and hands were shaken after 15 ends with WPBC advancing to tomorrow’s next round with a 19 - 10 win.

21.5.19 - This evening Sabrina hosted Supreme in the Surrey Ladies' Unbadged Singles. With her opponent starting strongly Sabrina found herself at 7 - 13 after 12 ends. Putting together a great run by winning the next 7 ends, Sabrina transformed the game to lead 19 - 13. Four ends later and Sabrina had booked her place in the next round with a 21 - 16 win.

After the success of the last few weeks' Saturday taster sessions which, despite the rather cold and overcast weather, have led to 4 visitors becoming new club members, this morning's taster session, with much improved weather, saw 7 club members enjoying time to practise on the green.
