4th District Final Place Secured

24.8.18 – This evening, over at Wandilea, Barry and Neil played Heathfield in the semi-final of the District Men’s Pairs. In what became a bit of a see-saw game, the Heathfield skip changed end after end early on until Heathfield led 10 – 4 after 8 ends. Continuing to draw well Wimbledon Park took the next 6 ends to lead 21 – 10, only for Heathfield in turn to win the next 4 ends to narrow the gap to 21 – 17. With each pair taking singles on the next two ends, and with the rain pouring down, Heathfield shook hands giving WPBC the victory and a place in the final by 22 shots to 18.
