Defeat In the Semi-final of the District Men’s Singles

21.8.18 – This evening, up at Heathfield, Neil played Mitcham in the semi-final of the District Men’s Singles. On what proved to be quite a tricky rink, it was Neil’s opponent who started the stronger, opening up a 13 – 6 lead after 12 ends. 9 ends later and Neil had reduced the gap to one shot with the scores at 14 – 15, but that was as close as it got with Mitcham deservedly going through to the final with a 21 – 14 win.
