6th Merton Primary Schools’ Bowls Tournament

17.6.19 – Today saw the final of the 6th Merton Primary Schools’ bowls Tournament hosted by Mitcham BC. Four primary schools, Benedict, Garfield, Joseph Hood and Singlegate took part in short round robin games played in a double rink format, supported by Merton BC, Merton Park BC, Mitcham BC and Wimbledon Park BC. At the end of a great day the scores were: Garfield (supported by Wimbledon Park) 218, Singlegate (Merton Park) 270, Joseph Hood (Merton) 278 and the winners Benedict (Mitcham) 314. Thank you to the Deputy Mayor of Merton and the Surrey Men’s and Ladies’ Presidential Teams for their support and a huge thank you to Anne, Barry, Claire, Matthew and Vicki who gave up the day to work with the children.
