A 26-end Marathon in the Surrey Men’s Singles

8.6.18 – This evening Neil welcomed South London to the green for the opening round of the Surrey Men’s Singles competition. A close start saw Neil lead 6 – 5 after 7 ends, this had turned into a 6- 11 score two ends later before Neil rallied to trail 11 – 12 after 13 ends. After 20 ends the scores were level at 16 – 16 and with some telling final bowls the South London player edged ahead to lead 20 – 16 after 23 ends. After 25 ends Neil was still in it with the score at 19 – 20 before losing the final end to go down 19 – 21.
