Surrey Men’s Pairs Results

7.6.18 – This evening Derek and Vernon took on Heathfield at home in the Surrey Men’s Pairs. An enjoyable encounter ensued with the scores tight until the 8th end, but it was Heathfield who advanced to the next round with a 25 – 14 win. Pete and Martin travelled to South London for their Pairs and again the scores were tight up until the 8th end with the South London skip having to play many a weighted bowl to keep them in the game. After that the South London pair began to draw more consistently, going on to take the match 23 – 10. Barry and Neil played their Pairs at Wandilea where the scores were locked at 9 – 9 after 10 ends. The second half however belonged to Wimbledon Park, aided by some unfortunate conversions by Wandilea and Barry and Neil moved in to the next round with a 24 – 14 win.
