A Busy Sunday for WPBC Bowlers…

On Sunday morning Neil was over at Heathfield for the Surrey Champion of Champions competition. After tight early exchanges Neil managed to pull away, going on to win 21 – 13. In the afternoon, back at the green, on yet another splendidly sunny Sunday afternoon, eight ladies took to the green to play the qualifying rounds of the Ladies’ Two Wood Competition. Two groups of four were randomly drawn, with everybody playing the other three bowlers in their group, over 6 ends.

In Group 1 Gail and Vera remained unbeaten, with both winning two matches and drawing the match against each other. In Group 2 Caroline won all three of her matches, with Elaine also qualifying, for the Semi-Finals, with two wins.

In the Semi-Finals Elaine beat Vera 7 – 2 and Gail beat Caroline 6 – 2, with the Final being played during Finals Weekend.
