A Close Contest in the National Over 55 Men’s Pairs

15.5.19 – This evening Barry and Neil hosted Belmont in the Preliminary Round of the National Over-55 Men’s Pairs. Playing Surrey’s 2018 representatives at the National Championships, the game was always going to be tough and so it proved with Barry/Neil being 6 – 1 down after 5 ends. 5 ends later and there was all to play for with the score locked at 6 – 6. Picking up a count of 5 on end 15 of the 18 end match proved decisive as Wimbledon Park advanced to Round 1.
