A Couple of Winning Pairs

June 1st – This evening saw the start of the Surrey Men’s Pairs competition with Pete and Martin playing away at South London and Barry and Neil playing Mitcham at home. With Pete leading well, ably backed up by Martin, WPBC built a comfortable lead going on to beat South London 25 – 8. Back at Wimbledon Park, the scores were level at 7 – 7 after 10 ends, before Barry and Neil pulled away to win 27 – 12.
