Strong Performance in the Mid-Week Triples League

May 31st – This afternoon Wimbledon Park welcomed Belmont to the green for the second mid-week triples match. Rosalind, Vernon and Barry started well leading 6 – 0 after 3 ends, only to see their opponents close the gap to level on 4 occasions, finally edging ahead by a single shot with one end to play. Digging deep, WPBC took a 2 on the last end to win a tight game 17 – 16. Anne, Derek and Neil found the going slightly easier leading 13 – 3 after 9 ends, before going on to take the match 27 – 11. Match result 8 – 0 (44 shots to 27).
