A Marathon in the Surrey Singles

June 9th – This evening Neil visited Wandilea in the Surrey Men’s Singles. Starting strongly, Neil led 10 – 2 after 8 ends, 10 ends later however and the scores were very different as the lead had been cut to 2 shots at 13 – 11. On the 27th end, with Neil leading 19 – 17, but 3 down on the green, a running bowl carried the jack from the centre of the three shots, to his back bowl, giving him the 2 shots required to win 21 – 17. What a marathon!
