A Tough Time in Today’s League Match

This afternoon Wimbledon Park travelled to Wandilea for their latest league match. Luke, Anne B, Pete and Martin had a tight tussle during the first half and were 10 – 10 after 11 ends. Unfortunately 6 of the next 7 ends went to Wandilea, leaving Wimbledon Park 7 shots behind with three ends to play. A valiant effort saw them nearly do it, as they picked up 5 shots to finish 16 – 18.

George, Betty, Sabrina and Barry had a titanic battle in a game which saw the lead change hands no fewer than 9 times! At 11 ends Wandilea had just snuck ahead again to leave WPBC adrfift by one shot at 10 – 11. The last three ends however proved crucial with Wimbledon Park picking up 6 shots to win 23 – 18.

Cherry, Mary, Vernon and Neil had a tough afternoon managing to win only 7 ends, leaving the green with the final score at 9 – 35.
