Another District Quarter-Final Place is Booked

July 13th – this evening defending champions, Vanessa (Mitcham) and Neil, played Sabrina and Barry for a place in the quarter-final of the Wimbledon and District Mixed Pairs. Starting strongly, it was Sabrina/Barry who opened up a 7 – 0 lead after just 3 ends. 8 ends later and Vanessa/Neil were back in the game leading 10 – 9. The second half however belonged to Sabrina and Barry who won 6 of the final 10 ends and with them the game by 22 shots to 16. WPBC now have 9 places in the District Quarter-finals!
