Two More District Quarter-final Places Secured

July 14th – this afternoon, in a re-run of the 2015 final, Neil visited Heathfield for the Wimbledon and District Mixed Singles (open to all bowlers). With both players drawing consistently to the jack, Neil fell behind 12 – 15, but a change of jack length saw him take the final four ends and with it the game, 21 shots to 15. This evening at Wimbledon Park, Pete and Martin played Wandilea in the W & D Men’s Pairs. After a high scoring start, with 3 shots scored on each of the first 6 ends, a close game ensued and after 21 ends the score was locked at 21 – 21. The extra end also proved to be tight, but it was Pete and Martin who prevailed, taking a single and the game 22 – 21.
