Another Super Saturday

June 24th – This morning’s taster session saw 10 club members and 8 first time visitors take to the green for an enjoyable taste of bowls. In the evening Barry and Neil welcomed Heathfield for the first round of the Wimbledon and District Men’s Pairs. After close exchanges early on Wimbledon Park led 11 – 10 after 12 ends. Six ends later, in the pouring rain, and it was all over with WPBC advancing to the next round with a 24 – 12 win.
