Another Win in the League

18.8.19 – This afternoon we welcomed Wandilea to Wimbledon Park for our latest league match. First to finish were Anne, Vernon, Pete and Martin who found their opponents in fine form. Trailing 1 – 8  after 6 ends, Wimbledon Park rallied and at 12 ends were only behind at 8 – 9. Unfortunately dropping a count of 5 proved costly with Wandilea going on to win 20 – 14. Second to finish were Mike, Ange, Richard and Barry who led 17 – 6 after 11 ends, going on to win 32 – 11. The final rink off was that of Claire, Rosalind, Ossie and Neil who had a close match early on leading 6 – 4 after 7 ends but going on to win 23 – 11. It was great to see the young bowlers from Wandilea on the green and to celebrate their successful bowling! Match result 8 – 2 (69 shots to 42).
