Club Handicap Pairs and another party!

1.7.18 – This afternoon, in glorious sunshine and with the queue for Wimbledon Tennis growing by the minute, 7 pairs took part in the early rounds of the club ‘Two-wood Handicap Pairs’ competition. After each pair had been drawn, four matches were played over 8 ends, with the top four pairs going forward to the semi-finals. After the group stage Claire/Neil had 11 points, Matthew/Rosalind had 10 points and both Ange/Derek and Maggie/Pete had 9 points.

The semi-finals were played over 10 ends with Matthew/Rosalind beating Maggie/Pete 10 – 4 and Claire/Neil beating Ange/Derek 14 – 5. The final will be played during finals weekend in September. Thank you to all the players for making it such a success and to Ange and Maggie for the delicious cakes!

Also on the green we welcomed our 4th bowls party of the week and another great time was had by all the participants.
