Day 2 of the District Finals

8.9.24 – Today was the second day of the District Finals. Although the Over – 55 Mixed Pairs did not take place due to one of Anne and Neil’s opponents being in hospital, the Mixed Fours final did, with Anne, Claire T, Martin and Neil playing Southey. After 9 ends WPBC led 10 – 3 before dropping counts of 2, 3 and 3 in consecutive ends to trail 10 – 11. Fortunately Wimbledon Park won five of the remaining six ends to take the title 18 – 12, making it 4 wins from 4 over the weekend. Thank you to Jackie and Pete for their support at Wandilea.
