District Top 10 Semi-Final

25.8.22 This evening we hosted Belmont in the Semi-Final of the District Top 10 competition. In a close Singles game, Neil just managed to win 21 – 16. A big thank you to Sally for stepping in to mark the game. The pairs saw Claire T and Martin holding their own at 7 ends with the score at 5 – 6, before Belmont pulled away to win 23 – 9. In the Triples, Johnny, Richard F and Barry were up against it from the start, with Belmont ending up the winners 26 – 5. Thanks to Johnny for stepping in to play at short notice. In the Fours, Anne, Rosalind, Richard S and Pete led 15 – 5 after 10 ends, but with Belmont winning 7 of the last 8 ends the score finished with a WPBC win 17 – 16. Match result, a win for Belmont 81 shots to 52.
