We Are The Champions!

24.8.22 This afternoon we headed to Streatham Park for our re-arranged Mid-Week Triples match. With three of our six players making their debuts in the Mid-Week league, we were anticipating a tough match. With both teams fighting hard, after 11 ends, Claire W, Gail and Barry trailed 9 – 10, whilst after 10 ends, Rosalind, Richard S and Neil were just ahead 10 – 7. The remaining ends saw Streatham Park pull ahead, leaving Barry’s triple posting a valiant 13 – 22 loss. Neil’s triple managed to win the last 6 ends to finish 23 – 9. Match result… an incredible 6 – 2 win (36 shots to 31), giving us the Division 2 league title, with one game left to play.
