End Of Season Round Robin Competition
22.9.24 – This afternoon the end-of-season round-robin competition saw an incredible 22 people take part, an all time record! A huge thank you to Richard F for working so hard to put together a format that was so well received and which saw each bowler play 3 games of 6 ends against a different group of bowlers, played on different rinks. Points were awarded for the nearest four bowls on each end, with 4 for the nearest, then 3, 2 and 1. At the end of all 22 players having played their 18 ends, a short refreshments break was held before the final between Neil and Pete who had the highest points totals from the group games. The final was played out over 6 ends with each bowler having 2 bowls and in the final Neil edged out Pete. A great afternoon finished off by a meal out arranged by Claire W-A, for those that could make it, as a final event of the season.
