Final League Match of 2019

21.9.19 – This afternoon we headed to Bolingbroke for our final match of the 2019 season. Sara, Rosalind, Pete and Martin got off to a great start to lead 13 – 0 after 7 ends; continuing to play well they went on to win 26 – 11. Claire, Alison, Anne and Barry had a tight game throughout and were 7 – 7 after 10 ends, pulling ahead in the second half to win 17 – 14. Christine, Ange, Ossie and Neil found the opposition in fine form and trailed 0 – 12 after 7 ends. 8 ends later and they had fought back to level at 13 – 13. The final six ends went to Bolingbroke who secured the win 23 – 15. Match result 8 – 2 (58 shots to 48) and amazingly our 9th straight win to end the season in fine form. We will now have to wait to see if we have done enough to win the league for the first time.
