First League Match of 2019

5.5.19 – The first league match of the 2019 season saw us welcome Streatham Park to our green. With the Bank Holiday taking place both teams were only able to field 10 players, with two triples and one four playing for the points. After 7 ends it looked like we were in for a close afternoon with Claire, Mary and Sabrina at 6 – 7, Christine, Ange, Luke and Ossie at 5 – 8 and Anne, George and Neil leading 8 – 2. The remainder of the game however saw Streatham Park pull away on two rinks with Claire, Mary and Sabrina going on to lose 13 – 35, Christine, Ange, Luke and Ossie going down 10 – 32 whilst Anne, George and Neil managed to win 26 – 13. Match result 2 – 8 (49 shots to 80).
