Home Win in the Wimbledon and District League

June 5th – this afternoon Wimbledon Park hosted Colliers Wood in their first home league match of 2016. At the half way mark, things were not looking too good for WPBC as Anne, Betty, Vernon and Pete were 8 – 11 down, Helen, Alison, Sabrina and Barry were 5 – 13 down and Hector, Cherry, Ossie and Neil were just ahead 8 – 7. A strong second half performance across all rinks saw the home fortunes transformed with Pete’s rink ending up 24 – 18 winners, Barry’s rink winners by 23 – 18 and Neil’s rink by 21 – 11. Match result 10 – 0 (68 shots to 47).
